Gather round the table for these new cooking demonstrations at Alexander's, lead by our new Resort Executive Chef Charles Pejeau! Have fun, learn something new and give back to your local community. All the money collected will be given to the Deep Well Project helping neighbors in need for over 40 years.
During this event, you will learn how to make Bread and Butter Pickles, Pickled Onions & Boiled Peanuts.
Bread and butter pickles have been an American staple for nearly one hundred years. Chef Charles will show you how to make an exceptional brine so your pickles will have that perfect mix of sweet, salty and crunch. He will also show some tips and tricks for pickling onions and other veggies to make homemade relish. Lastly, dating back to colonial times, Chef Charles will teach you how to make boiled peanuts from sourcing the peanuts down to how to cook and store the finished product.
All demonstrations are $25 per person & include a glass of sparkling wine and culinary gift to take home.
